JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning systems, maintenance, and equipment repair. This role requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, as well as demonstrate leadership skills in a construction environment. The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems, performing regular maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the HVAC industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose faults in air conditioning systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics to facilitate repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
  • Lead small teams during installation projects, providing guidance and support to junior engineers or apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working on-site.
