Description

Summit Search Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Mechanic to join our Client’s team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of HVAC systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or a GED equivalent from a certified college
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
  • Valid HVAC worker Designation
  • Understanding and Knowledge of applicable HVAC codes, standards and regulations
  • A minimum 5 years of Journeyman Status related to Commercial and Residential mechanical systems
  • Independent decision making and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong motor, verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Providing outstanding customer service to all of our clients
  • Work on RTUs and HVAC systems
  • Inspect system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans and expansion valves
  • Perform system checks, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery
  • Perform electrical and gas system troubleshooting
  • Complete assigned paperwork and forms
  • Domestic/General Gas certification ideal – but not mandatory
  • Refrigeration certification ideal – but not mandatory
Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and comprehensive diagnoses on mechanical systems
  • Install and repair of all HVAC equipment
  • Educate our clients on proper care and maintenance of the mechanical systems
  • Read and interpret all mechanical drawings, and all electrical schematics
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment or independently
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and healthful manner, while maintaining safety policies and all government legislation and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings
