QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed 313A mechanic
  • Minimum 7 years of refrigeration installation experience with 2 years as a foreman
  • Experience with supermarket refrigeration is considered an asset
  • CO2 system installation experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with control systems
  • Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of TSSA regulations and procedures
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to travel when required

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of refrigeration technicians and apprentices, ensuring proper training, guidance, and support.
  • Uphold safety standards on job sites, ensuring adherence to company safety policies and Ontario regulations
  • Carefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications are being followed
  • Accurately measure and layout plan for installation
  • Assemble and install refrigeration systems, cold storage units, refrigeration piping and related components
  • Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available
  • Maintain regular communication with project managers, providing updates on the status of the project
  • Other duties as assigned
