Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. Job Details: This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Processing or Harvest of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting is required, 70 pounds or more. These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments. Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred. Refrigeration maintenance crews work 6 days, with 2 rotating days off, and will include shifts on Sundays and some major holidays. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit.
