Description The Refrigeration Mechanic will require high level of performance with sense of urgency in the following areas: Inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing food processing refrigeration systems in an industrial environment. Some of the Refrigeration Mechanic duties and responsibilities may include: Exhibits proficiency in applying principles and theories of industrial refrigeration operations and equipment Operates with a sense of urgency to learn on all plant refrigeration equipment issues Performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs plant refrigeration equipment Knowledge in reading process and instrumentation diagrams (PNID’s) Pass HAZWOPER course and physical annually Demonstrates an understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) program Maintains proper documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Complies with company safety, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP) and HACCP guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Must be able to work the following schedule of Monday through Friday, 1:00am-9:30am A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and an excellent attendance record Demonstrates a good understanding of the fundamentals of ammonia refrigeration, and is learning more advanced skills Operates independently and with the team to get the job done Troubleshoots most issues within his discipline Understands how to operate and conduct start-up/shut-down procedures of the equipment in his discipline Minimum High School diploma 2 to 3 years of industrial refrigeration experience preferred Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy and alertness Strong decision making skills Able to lift 50 lbs. intermittently Good knowledge of industrial electrical knowledge and is learning more advanced skills Strong knowledge of the proper use of the tools of the trade King & Prince Seafood offers a competitive Benefits package consisting of: Health Insurance w/ Prescription drug plan Dental Insurance Vision Insurance HSA or FSA Short & Long Term disability insurance Life and AD&D Wellness program EAP Holiday and Vacation paid time off 401(k) Access to: Critical Illness, Accident, and Travel Assistance Insurance
