Responsibilities

KEY ROLE

The Product Design Engineer principal role will be to provide design input for product development for the RJ equipment division.
You will have a key involvement in building & increasing our portfolio of RJM display equipment for opening sales opportunities to new clients.
Supporting and design enhancement of our existing products will also be essential.
You will assist in the ongoing development of relationships with current manufacturing partners and working with new supply partners as applicable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide equipment design and concept innovations to develop and expand the RJM product portfolio
  • Promote relationships with customers through regular meetings and site visits as necessary
  • Work closely with R&D Manager on technical aspects of product development
  • Provide support and assistance in relation to the Company’s R&D test lab facility
  • Compilation of product specifications, data sheets and any other product support documentation
  • Ensure compliance of products to customer requirements and relevant legislation
  • Produce detailed cost evaluations
  • Specify and purchase specialist and new components
  • Provide detailed design information for sub-contract manufacturing companies as appropriate
  • Ensure development projects are completed on time and to agreed standard
  • Creation and maintenance of parts list or bills of materials
  • Manage project timescales with regular progress reviews with supply chain and delivery partners.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nominated projects and/or accounts.
  • Work closely with internal team to successfully deliver all aspects of the project
  • Provide regular reports and advice to the RJ Management team
  • Comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and ISO processes/procedures.
  • Promote and represent the Company’s image in a professional manner.
