Description Position Overview: The Refrigeration Production Technician will work with refrigeration engineering and production staff on the assembly, wiring, brazing, evacuation, and charging of a variety of refrigeration products used in commercial refrigeration applications. This position will also work directly with our engineering team, creating BOM for production and external support through field service channels providing technical support. Essential Job Functions: Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures. Maintains a neat and orderly work area and accurate part and tool inventory. Maintains productivity levels in accordance with company standards. Provides technical support for our customers and other technicians. Consults with the manufacturing and quality department on necessary changes to our displays. Possesses an overview and understanding of our client’s specifications; offers guidance to the regional contract teams; ensures good practice is observed; and advises where Client specification is absent. Provides technical expertise in client presentations to assist business development personnel. Works with QA staff to ensure relevant procedures are adhered to by both teams and themselves. Manages escalated issues that cannot be resolved locally to the next in line and Production Manager. Supports other departments as necessary. The ideal candidate has had experience with spray foam and spray foam equipment. Performs additional assignments under the Manager’s direction. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: EPA Universal Certified Must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel as needed Strong technical abilities in the field of electric and refrigeration Knowledge and comprehensive awareness of UL and NSF standards Computer literate with a thorough working knowledge of MS Office packages (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent time management and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and vendors Ability to maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities described above, as well as those required to perform the role Education and/or Experience: HVAC certificate or associate degree preferred 5 years’ work experience in the field of HVAC/R (On-the-job training is available for the right candidate) Demonstrable understanding and practical knowledge of Thermodynamics Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those necessary for an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
