TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with Saskatchewan’s leading HVAC equipment supplier and are searching for their new Refrigeration Service Technician/Mechanic. Our client has been established for many decades and has a reputation for their great work culture, and strong employee tenure.
The hourly rate for the position would be in the $52-$58 per hour range. In addition, you would receive profit sharing, full benefits, a pension plan and have adjusted summer hours.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic to focus on the maintenance, repair, and replacement of commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This includes chillers, boilers, applied air handlers, rooftop units, cooling towers, and related electrical components. The role emphasizes proactive equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate
  • Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC maintenance and service
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Willingness to learn and tackle complex mechanical systems

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and service repairs on a wide range of HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, heat pumps, air handlers, and cooling towers.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Inspect and test new and existing systems to ensure they meet performance and factory specifications.
  • Support rebuilds of HVAC systems, working closely with fellow technicians and the service manager.
  • Operate company vehicle to and from job sites; transport and maintain necessary tools and materials.
  • Communicate with internal teams and manufacturers via email as needed.
  • Accurately document work performed, including service records, time sheets, inventory, and billing details in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all customer and team interactions.
  • Provide timely updates to customers before, during, and after service work is completed.
  • Clearly explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in manufacturer and industry training to stay current with evolving technologies and continually improve skillsets.
