Description Kings Command Foods has an opportunity for a Refrigeration Tech at our Versailles, OH facility. As our Refrigeration Tech, you will: Use required tools and/or equipment to perform skilled-level work on the ammonia industrial refrigeration system, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to all system components. Daily recording of refrigeration equipment. Visual checks of freezer and cooler evaporators, and record issues to be addressed (fans, ice buildup, condensate drains). Adjust compressor pressure and temperature as needed. Monitor ammonia levels of all accumulators and high-pressure vessels. Correct use of the lockout/tagout program. NOTE: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal. Requirements Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Ammonia Refrigeration certification. Must have 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience. Must have welding experience. Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints. - Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs. Must be able to successfully complete training: - Safety. Safe Quality Food (SQF). Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Food defense. Preferred Qualifications: Prior refrigeration or maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility. Work history in the last 12 months. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to attend work consistently. Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow safety rules. Display a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Be adaptable and dependable with the ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others. Be attentive to detail Maintain a clean work area. Follow all food safety, quality, and SQF rules. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Be assertive and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform consistent, accurate work, with minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. Must provide own basic tools.
