Description Position Summary: Establishes and maintains effective relationships with youth, demonstrates appropriate boundaries, and ensures appropriate care and supervision. This position uses a 4/10 schedule. Essential Duties: · Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of Continuum of Care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care and maintains a professional environment that is consistent with Title 22, licensing regulations, and established agency policies. · Demonstrates effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. · Maintains vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care. · Actively engages and encourages youth towards their treatment goals and in daily living. · Regularly transports youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc. · Prepares timely and accurate documentation. · Understands and retains instructions for complex tasks. Pay Range: $18.39 - $22.98 per hour. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in related field qualifies as URMRW2 and will be paid at higher rate. URMRW1 without relevant degree must meet alternative minimum qualifications established by California Department of Social Services. Experience working with immigrant or refugee populations required. (Relevant degrees include, but are not limited to: International/Global Studies, Comparative Religion, and World History) Additional Requirements: · Proficiency in a threshold language preferred. · Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted California driver’s license. · Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training including, but not limited to, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR. · Must be able to understand and follow policy and procedures. · Must be able to document services, incidents, and other required forms/documents.
Responsibilities
The Refugee Resettlement Worker provides 24/7 supervision and care for youth while maintaining a safe, trauma-informed environment. Responsibilities include transporting youth to appointments, documenting services, and actively supporting their treatment goals.
