Description

A global freight forwarding company from Asia is looking for a new member for their Sales Department. This position is the Sales Manager for Oregon and Washington States position. We are looking for someone who can do both Account Management and New Business Development for international clients.
This position is required you to have a Bachelor degree. Also, minimum of 3 years international freight warder experience. Please do not include Canada and Mexico logistics coordination experience. This position is not a entry level positions, so you must have sales experience in international freight forwarding industry.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SALES MANAGER POSITION:

  • Ambitious and outgoing individuals who are interested in building an outside sales career within the freight forwarding logistics industry.
  • Ability to build relationships while cold calling and be confident in presenting information to prospective customers on the company’s shipping services during face-to-face meetings.
  • 5 years of previous experience in the freight forwarder / logistics industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, International Business, etc….

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through cold calling.
  • Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities.
  • Offer solutions through freight forwarding services including international import and export (ocean/air), warehousing, cargo insurance and customs brokerage.
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team.
  • Utilize to track client’s key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.
  • Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client’s needs are met.
  • Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory (Oregon and Washington)
  • Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas agent.
  • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
