Regional Account Manager – Rare Diseases (Austria) About the Role We are seeking a passionate and driven Regional Account Manager (RAM) to join our Rare Diseases team. In this role, you will act as the technical expert for our innovative products and therapeutic areas, building trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals and key accounts across Austria. Your mission: to improve patient care and treatment pathways for rare diseases through strategic collaboration and impactful engagement. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, fostering strategic collaboration. Execute account plans and commercial tactics in alignment with cross-functional teams. Engage healthcare professionals in meaningful dialogue about approved indications and product profiles. Identify and implement strategies to enhance rare disease care and improve treatment pathways. Drive sales performance, ensuring forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations. Provide insights from the field to inform regional strategic planning. Utilize digital and face-to-face channels for effective customer engagement. Qualifications & Competencies Degree in Life Sciences or healthcare qualification. Minimum 4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing as Key Account Manager or similar roles. Preferably experienced in hospital business, niche markets, or orphan drugs. Background in Neurology, Nephrology, or Hematology is a plus. Strong knowledge of Austrian pharmaceutical regulations. Strategic, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Fluent in German and English. High ethical standards and patient-centric mindset.
