Your Role: This position will be responsible for the business cover all Japan customers in Planarization Business Field The Regional Japan Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of our commercial engagement with Japan customers including development of account plans, achieving annual revenue and profitability goals, opportunity and growth plans, relationship management and ongoing customer support and satisfaction improvement. Working in full alignment with the broader business team including Global Key Account managers, Marketing, Asset Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Legal, the Regional Sales Manager will coordinate all interactions with the customer ensuring the Planarization Business Field presents a consistent face to the customer and that the organization is aligned to achieve business objectives. Position will require close alignment with all other Business Fields who also work with the same customer for other product lines. Maintaining alignment across business fields employing aligned approaches and strategies. This position will be located in Japan, reporting to the Global Sales Head of Planarization. Principal Accountabilities Develop and execute business strategies with clear objectives aligned to the Planarization business. Build and maintain strong relationships with customer decision makers across technology, process, quality, and commercial functions. Act as the customer advocate within the company, coordinating cross-functional teams to drive sales, improve quality, ensure business continuity, and lead customer initiatives to completion. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and new business packages—including specifications, stocking, and supply chain—to align internally and meet customer deadlines. Maintain detailed documentation of sales opportunities and pipeline status, Update internal forecast tools using customer forecasts and business insights. Lead customer change notifications and implementation, ensuring compliance with change management requirements Coordinate internal teams to meet or exceed customer expectations on product delivery, quality, supply chain, and continuous improvement. Analyze business and financial data to support informed decision-making. Manage ambiguity, eliminate obstacles, and prioritize value-added activities to advance work efficiently. Lead prompt and thorough responses to customer quality and supply complaints, representing the company through to resolution. Who you are: Minimum Qualifications Experience in the semiconductor industry (or equivalent), of semiconductor chip makers in R&D/Engineering team or CMP related industry for semiconductor area 8+ years of Sales or marketing experience. Fluent communication skills in English are required Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in science or other technical discipline. Strong understanding of chemical or engineering principles. Experience in the CMP field, including tool or process development. Proven track record of relationship building and strong customer-facing skills in demanding customer environments. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated cross-functional team leadership. Experience managing, balancing, and influencing competing priorities of both the company and customers.
