As we continue to grow and serve new markets, we are seeking a Regional Account Executive to drive profitable sales growth while delivering exceptional customer service.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Account Executive drives WSD’s growth by acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing accounts. This role combines proactive business development with exceptional customer service, building trusted partnerships across all levels of influence—from buyers and engineers to operations, sales, and senior leadership.
You will work closely with WSD’s internal teams to match our products and solutions to customer needs, develop strategic account plans, and deliver measurable ROI. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, developing value-based proposals, progressing sales cycles to close, and ensuring customer success throughout the entire account lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: 3+ years sales experience with an emphasis on face-to-face customer interactions.
  • Preferred: Sales experience in the manufacturing (OEM) and/or aftermarket distribution markets.
  • Consistent, regional travel required to build trusted, lasting relationships with prospects and customers (approx. 2-3 days regional travel per week).
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Ability to be a team player, seeking constructive collaboration from the internal WSD team.
  • Strong sales skills paired with a willingness to be coached.
  • A basic understanding or interest to learn manufacturing and regional distribution.
  • Technology used by our sales team today: Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM, Slack Internal Communications, Trello Project Management.
Responsibilities

External – New Business Development

  • Drive new customer acquisition through targeted prospecting, opportunity qualification, and full-cycle sales execution.
  • Develop and manage a regional territory plan to achieve scalable revenue growth.
  • Present WSD’s value proposition, crafting tailored proposals that include pricing, manufacturing requirements, and logistics solutions.
  • Build strategic partnerships with prospective clients across all levels of influence.
  • Represent WSD at trade shows and industry events to generate leads and expand market presence.

External – Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring timely resolution of requests and issues.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop and monitor monthly demand forecasts.
  • Track and analyze revenue and gross margin trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Understand each customer’s product lines and applications to proactively identify solutions.
  • Partner with sales operations to ensure account health and long-term satisfaction.
  • Hands-on customer service within 100 miles radius for existing customers

Internal – Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with engineering to align manufacturing output with customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and sales operations to ensure material availability for orders.
  • Align with production teams to provide accurate lead times and meet delivery commitments.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings with senior leadership to review opportunities, risks, and next steps.
