Description Regional Controller – HVAC / Mechanical Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX (On-Site) Company: Midway Mechanical Services Lead Regional Finance for a Growing Mechanical Contractor Midway Mechanical Services is seeking a Regional Controller to lead accounting operations across our Texas business units. This is a high-visibility leadership role supporting a fast-growing region within one of the nation’s leading mechanical contractors. If you have strong construction accounting experience, understand WIP and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and are ready to expand your regional impact — we want to connect with you. About the Role As Regional Controller, you will oversee financial operations across multiple Texas entities. You will partner closely with operations leadership, support growth initiatives, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role reports to senior finance leadership and plays a key role in regional strategy and performance. What You’ll Do Lead month-end and year-end close processes across regional entities Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Monitor KPIs, job costing, WIP schedules, and variance analysis Ensure GAAP compliance, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition Oversee and mentor regional accounting staff Partner with operations leaders to drive profitability and financial discipline Support annual audits and compliance requirements Implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience 2–3+ years of leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting Experience with WIP reporting and job cost accounting (required) ERP system experience (NetSuite or similar preferred) Background in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or service-based industries strongly preferred Hands-on leader comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive Compensation $140,000–$160,000 base salary Performance-based bonus opportunity Comprehensive Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) with up to 4% company match HSA contributions Life insurance, LTD, and EAP Work-Life Balance Up to 20 PTO days 7 paid holidays Career Growth Executive visibility Regional leadership scope Advancement opportunities within a national organization About Midway Mechanical Services Midway Mechanical Services delivers commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing solutions across the Midwestern United States.
