Global Partnerships Division Full-time, Fixed term until March 2026 Base salary will be in the range $93K - $100K + 17% super (HEW Level 6) Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic and highly organised person in providing support to students. The Regional Coordinator, Sponsored Students is responsible for overall leadership of sponsored students related activities within designated regions. The primary role is to manage the delivery of services to sponsors and their scholarship recipients and to build UQ’s reputation as a quality provider of international educational services. The position also assists the Senior Manager with the administration of the Australia Awards Scholarships to ensure UQ meets it’s KPIs under the program. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors, scholarship bodies, managing contractors and international agents, both domestic and international. Provide ongoing support to sponsored students and a specified cohort of UQ scholarship recipients. This includes but is not limited to the Future Students suite of scholarships, the UQ Refugee and Humanitarian Scholarships, and the Global Connect Scholarships. Implement continuous improvement initiatives including student and sponsor satisfaction surveys to allow UQ to assess if we are preforming at industry best practice. Building internal partnerships to ensure the seamless provision of information and services to sponsors and scholarship recipients. This includes, but is not limited to, Student Services, Student Fees, Financial and Business Services, the Graduate School, Faculties & Institutes, International Admissions, and UQ College. Facilitating the admission of sponsored and scholarship students through effective liaison with sponsors/external agencies and internal stakeholders, i.e., Allianz Care. This includes working closely with International Admissions and UQ College on the provision of offers for Australia Awards Scholarships recipients via OASIS. Manage sponsored and scholarship students in SI-net and maintain updated electronic student records in both SI-net and OASIS (for Australia Awards Scholars) including academic progression, study variations, HDR milestones, thesis submissions and academic awards. Represent the Sponsored Students Unit by presenting/communicating scholarship information at staff forums, student forums and external forums/conferences. About You An undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience working with international students or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with others, both within a tertiary environment and the wider community Demonstrated experience providing strong customer services to clients from cultural and linguistic diverse backgrounds and varying social economic backgrounds Demonstrated experience in international student administration within a tertiary environment Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines The ability to operate with a significant degree of initiative and independence as well as work as a team player with a strong commitment to continuous improvement Demonstrated experience in the preparation of proposals, planning documents and reports to support team objectives About UQ As part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.
