Regional Data Privacy Correspondent
Would you like to combine your own expertise with stakeholders across the entire Group at Ayvens? We are now looking for Regional Data Privacy Correspondent (2nd line) to support and oversight the local entities in the Nordic countries with Data Privacy.
About the role
The purpose of the privacy function within Ayvens is to safeguard Ayvens’ integrity and commitment to build a better working world of mobility. We do that by ensuring that Ayvens has a proper control environment is in place for complying with applicable laws, rules, regulations and Ayvens’ internal standards, supporting the business with managing day-to-day privacy and data protection risks and by helping to maintain the integrity of the products and services offered and received.
We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Correspondent (DPC) who will take on the role as DPC (LoD 2) and be part of our Regional Centre of Expertise team. Working in a Regional role in CoE you would support and oversight the privacy work across the Nordic geographies. You will work in close cooperation with CoE team, Local Compliance Officers and Central Risk & Compliance team. This position is new and in this role you would be the one to build the privacy framework with data privacy topics in the Nordic countries. In other words this role will empower you to leverage your expertise in shaping privacy frameworks and policies across the Nordic countries.
In this role, your main responsibility areas are:
Privacy Risk monitoring: The DPC regularly monitors and reviews existing and emerging risks as part of the risk management process in the entity. He/she provides assurance that controls are effective and efficient.

Privacy Risk assessments: As a second line function, the DPC

  • Advises and contributes to privacy assessments and helps identifying the privacy risk of (amongst others) new and existing products
  • Contribute to record keeping requirement in relation to local data processing register
  • Assists in handling of personal data breaches and notification requirements
  • Identifies and assesses (changes in) applicable laws and regulations

Create awareness and a sense of responsibility: The DPC provides consultancy/training and facilitates knowledge sharing for employees and management on all privacy and data protection domains. In case of emerging or country-specific risks, the DPC ensures additional awareness amongst all employees within the entity.
Privacy advice: The DPC functions as a trusted advisor for local management, specifically with respect to confidential information and/or delicate situations such as data subject requests or personal data breaches.
The DPC is able to ‘build a bridge’ between management and employees and is able to explain and promote privacy and data protection topics to all levels within the organization. The DPC advises business and management to improve their existing risk processes or the implementation thereof. Further, provides guidance and feedback to management in implementing the local and Ayvens’ privacy and data protection initiatives.
To qualify for the role, you must have

Relevant University degree and good knowledge of the EU Data Protection legislation

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in privacy or related topics
  • Sound understanding of the privacy framework in banking sector (international).
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels withing the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to market privacy and data protection to various levels of the organisation and with various stakeholders
  • Autonomy, pragmatism, ability to find solutions and move forward independentl
  • Ability and willingness to pay close attention to details
  • Diplomatic and good negotiations skills to reach desired outcome (influencer)
  • Ability to effectively prioritise a wide range of tasks
  • English (fluent, verbally and written)

Compensation depends on the experience and background of the candidate, start level is 5.200 euros + car benefit and good bonus program.
