Responsibilities
  1. Provide comprehensive dental assisting support to dental professionals offering services to children and adults in various locations and
    environments across the region.
  2. Coordinate and manage the operational functions of the dental clinics in community, remote and school, by overseeing office supplies/clinical
    consumables, maintenance/availability of clinical equipment, record management, and waste management.
  3. Collaborate with Remote Clinic Manager and operational management team to coordinate and support the provision of dental services.
    Includes referral screening, scheduling client appointments, coordinating with hospital management on theatre lists/schedules, and managing
    waitlists/recalls.
  4. Liaising and engaging health professionals, government agencies and key community stakeholders. This includes participating in Oral Health
    programs, projects, initiatives, and health promotion activities.
  5. Supervise and coordinate the induction of new dental assistants and trainee dental assistants.
  6. Oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and practices related to dental assistants in collaboration with Senior Dental Assistants.
    Including participation in continuous quality improvement, clinical audits, and the implementation and adherence to infection control standards
    and work health and safety protocols.
  7. Follow defined service quality standards, departmental procedures work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being
    undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  8. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
