Position Summary: The Regional Director/ District Manager - Stores is a coach and mentor who oversees the management and processes at a group of stores within our Donated Good Retail division. The role ensures that the stores are executing all the Organization’s procedures and policies to exceed budgeted sales plan. Leading Goodwill Dallas stores is both rewarding and hard work. The key components of the role are to achieve budgeted sales for the region by guiding management, coaching to achieve and exceed minimum inventory production goals and leading by example to ensure the operational success of the assigned region. Core Duties and Responsibilities: Develop annual budgets and manage to meet or exceed financial expectations. Hire, supervise and develop direct and indirect reports to meet or exceed strategic goals and departmental growth and financial expectations. Produce and generate reports to analyze data to effectively and proactively execute continuous quality improvement in all areas – personnel, policy and procedures. Develop, enforce, review and revise and test Standard Operating Procedures and organizational policy. Manage internal and external complaints to successful resolution. Participate actively in departmental and organizational strategic planning and execution and leadership meetings. Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. Lead and participate in departmental and cross departmental project teams. Represent the agency/department in a professional manner at all times. Work with strict guidelines and/or time constraints with a sense of urgency. Promote a safe working environment. Conduct required management meetings. Review and be familiar with Goodwill Dallas safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents or injuries immediately. Perform other duties and projects as required by management. Qualifications Preferred/Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for required education. 5 years of management experience in a retail environment, required. Supervisory experience of 30 or more employees, preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and tactfully assist fellow employees. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and organize work. Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. Valid Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required. Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record. Ability to speak, read and write the English language. High level of attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Position Specifics: Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business is required. The work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the needs of the business.
