Description

The Regional Director of Career Services position is responsible for coordinating and implementing an employer relations program. The Regional Director of Career Services is directly responsible for the placement and verification of all students within their technical fields within a specified timeframe, as outlined in the student policy for two or more campuses. The Regional Director of Career Services will provide professional seminars to help prepare students for success in job interviews and job retention.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in career services, recruiting, sales, education, placement, or counseling.
  • Ability to work extended hours (which will include evenings and weekends), to meet business objectives.
  • Able to travel between our Lakeland & Tampa campuses - reliable transportation.

Yearly Salary: $65,000

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the process to place students in field or related field for which they are trained
  • Provide training and oversight to Career Services Coordinators and Externship Coordinators on campuses within service area
  • Work with Program Directors to identify externship sites and maintain 150% capacity each month
  • Assist with analysis of possible new programs and their feasibility within the service market areas
  • Ensure the Career Services department meet or exceed required placement benchmark of 70% per program per campus and verification benchmark of 100% of all placements (based on regulatory agencies).
  • Identify part-time and full-time job opportunities via job-posting system for students and graduates
  • Contact and build relationships with employers for business development and to maintain job lead opportunities
  • Collaborate with Career Services Coordinators on Conducting Professional Development workshops
  • Contact and build relationships with alumni
  • Collaborate with Career Services Coordinators on co-hosting advisory board meetings with Program Directors at least twice a year
  • Host Career Fairs and Industry-Specific Forum at least once per quarter

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides the department overall direction, coordination, and evaluation and supervises placement activities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includes training, coaching / mentoring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
