He provides strategic leadership to strengthen partner engagement, guide ministry planning, and support effective Scripture engagement initiatives. He fosters healthy, growing partnerships that increase ministry impact through learning, spiritual formation, and clear communication. Success in this role includes coordinating effectively across BLI teams, aligning partner plans with ministry priorities, and helping partnerships grow in effectiveness, trust, and impact. Duties 1. Partner Relationships: 1. Ensure that BLI’s core values (Prayer, Calling, Service, Unity, Integrity, and Vision) guide relationships with ministry partners. The Director of East & Southeast Asia ensures that these partnerships progressively mature in both capacity and impact. 2. Maintain regular communication with assigned partners to pray, plan, collaborate, and address challenges or opportunities, with agreed actions and follow-up recorded. 3. Communicate relevant updates on BLI’s focus and direction to regional partners to support alignment and planning. 4. Build trusting relationships with partners that strengthen collaboration, transparency, and ministry effectiveness. 5. Build relationships between partners in the region to encourage mutual learning, collaboration, and stronger ministry effectiveness. 6. Ensure partner information, decisions, and key updates are recorded accurately and timeously in BLI’s CRM system. 2. Strategic Leadership: 1. Lead a strategic, agile planning cycle with assigned partners annually and revisit every three months, resulting in agreed objectives, actions, budgets, timelines, and evaluation metrics. 2. Lead ministry partners through strategic dialogue on Scripture engagement programs. 3. Model and develop leadership that prioritizes listening to and learning from the Lord, our partners, one another, our colleagues, and our intended audiences to respond creatively to adaptive challenges. 4. Communicate with BLI teams and share learning in a timely way to improve coordination, stewardship, and service to partners and their audiences. 5. Lead efforts to help partners understand and embrace BLI’s culture through an engaging experience of BLI’s Partner Handbook/Agreement. Ensure that strategic conversations with partners follow appreciative inquiry principles so that decisions are based on opportunities, strengths, and available resources. 6. Identify opportunities for training or partnership development that BLI could encourage and implement for partners. 3. Program/Impact Evaluation 1. Lead a six-monthly evaluation of projects to learn and make appropriate decisions to expand, pivot, or retire projects. This evaluation will be informed and facilitated by appropriate key performance indicators and other metrics in P2I. 2. Review financial, impact, and other reports with partners to ensure evaluation discussions are informed by accurate data and reporting from Partner Finance and what is found in P2I. 3. Focus partner and project evaluations on learning and growth rather than remediation. 4. Lead a robust field review process to collect, document, and share meaningful feedback on BLI’s products, training, and services from partners and their intended audiences. 4. Organizational Coordination/Collaboration 1. Collaborate with Partner Finance to determine budget allocations and constraints for ministry projects. 2. Ensure all project decisions are recorded accurately and timeously in BLI’s agile project management system. 3. Communicate resource needs for future projects, including training, Scripture engagement products, and other requirements. Organizational Relationships Responsible to: Senior Vice President of Program Partnerships Responsible for: East & Southeast Asia Collaborates with: Finance, Program Development, Data Strategy, Communication Specialists, Advancement, and other departments of Bible League International as required. Qualifications  1. Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith [https://www.bibleleague.org/about/?id=StatementofFaith] and conduct his/herself in a Christ-like manner. 2. Must have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a strategic leadership role, leading a diverse team towards common goals. 3. Must possess intercultural leadership and management experience, with the capacity for building effective cross-cultural relationships that facilitate goal accomplishment. 4. Must have permanent resident status in the country of residency. 5. Must be willing and available to undertake regional and overseas travel. SKILLS 1. Demonstrate a passionate commitment to serving the indigenous church with strong intercultural leadership experience and skills. 2. Possess highly developed administrative skills with experience in overseeing complex budgets and programs to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Experience with CRM systems is an advantage. 3. Possess strong communication and conflict management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with sensitivity and tact. 4. Must possess a professional-level proficiency in English. 5. Should be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. 6. Be knowledgeable about, and interested in, the current political, social, and economic context of the assigned region of operation. 7. Must be sensitive to differing theological positions, ensuring that the non-denominational nature of BLI is respected and protected. 8. Must have experience with Microsoft Office products. 9. Experienced in arranging and coordinating partner conferences and other events. Standards of Performance 1.
