Description

Omnia Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Director of Human Resources to join their team! The Regional Director of Human Resources provides advice, support, and guidance to facility HR designees, Administrators, and Regional Operations as it relates to HR and Payroll functions. Ensures facility HR designees are trained in all aspects of HR, recruiting, and the HR systems (ATS, HRIS, and Benefits.) . The Regional Director of Human Resources is expected to travel to various facility locations at least 80% of the time.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both in writing and in-person.
  • Ability to think critically and lead others through complex HR situations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a leadership role.
  • Reliable transportation (up to 80% travel to the facilities).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Possess excellent management and leadership skills and analytical and organizing skills.
  • Experience with wage and hour regulations, safety and workers’ compensation issues, labor relations, labor law issues, and benefits administration.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel).

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five- (5) years Human Resources consulting or experience with increasing levels of responsibility in a skilled nursing facility, preferrably in the Region’s state.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related field strongly preferred.
  • Multi-site and healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience as a strategic businesses partner with operations preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and benefits systems.
  • Experience with wage and hour regulations, safety and workers’ compensation issues, labor relations, labor law issues, and benefits administration.
  • Experience creating and delivering training preferred.
  • Experience identifying and delivering process improvements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop and reach, and to use hands tomanipulate the computer, writing, calculator or other instruments to carry outresponsibilities of the position, with or without accomodation.
  • Must have adequate vision to perform essential job functions.
  • Willing and able to travel atleast 80% of the time by car and/or airplane to various facility locations as needed.
  • Must have access to reliable and properly maintained autp transpotation for frequent travel

Responsibilities
  • Assists operations with strategic planning in the areas of culture building, change management, leadership development, and succession planning and employee engagement.
  • Responsible for ensuring facility HR designees are following procedures and retrains, when necessary.
  • Leads training, retraining, and recommends disciplinary action, up to and including termination of facility HR designees.
  • First level of escalation for issues after each facility’s HR designee, including investigations.
  • Works with facility and regional team to improve recruitment, selection and placement activities of management, licensed personnel and all other employees throughout the region in collaboration with those responsible for recruitment activities.
  • Works with facility and region staff to improve turnover and retention statistics and develop strategic plan.
  • Responsible for coordinating the implementation, monitoring and evaluating of Company personnel policies and procedures throughout the region.
  • Conducts the training and implementation of all Company policies and programs affecting employment and working conditions for assigned region and facilities, as provided by the Home Office.
  • Works with VP, HR and operations to meet operational objectives related to specific collective bargaining obligations including participating in labor negotiations, as needed.
  • Administers labor contracts including grievance administration with guidance from the Home Office, as needed.
  • Trending regional pulse surveys of employees with Operations Team and uses this data to help create initiatives to improve retention and employees’ experience.
  • Collaborates with Home Office personnel to identify training issues and needs for facility HR designees.
  • Providing reporting and project updates to team lead and/or senior management.
  • Prioritizing and managing workload to meet critical deadlines.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and making recommendations on how to improve process efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with all processes and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Challenging status quo and proactively identifying process improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
