GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Leading the Southern Europe region, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Managing Director, EMEA, the role has full accountability for regional sales and account management, with a focus on delivering sustainable regional growth. The Regional Southern European Director will also be expected to build and develop a high-performance team and drive the region's growth plans. The role requires a strong commercial leader with a proven track record of effective executive customer engagement, strong internal and market wide influence, and experience in the travel sector and/or an equivalent fast-paced technology organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Full accountability for leading the Agency Marketplace sales organization and delivering sustainable growth results in the Southern Europe region. Deliver sustainable profit as well as market share growth in the region. Direct a team of professionals with efforts resulting in the development and implementation of designated sales initiatives and business plans. Responsible for developing and nurturing multiple key client relationships with customers, complemented with superior customer service. Responsible for delivering world-class products and services through profitable renewal, conversion, and new sales development. Maintain and develop relationships with the network of strategic partners to ensure optimal market coverage and penetration. Maintain a high level of customer involvement and is responsible for establishing Sabre as the global leader in this segment. Define and lead new-segment strategies, and prioritize commercial and marketing activities accordingly. Maintain a highly visible presence in the region and within Sabre by actively driving the sales activities and developing best practices. REQUIREMENTS: Solid related experience in the travel industry, with a focus on strategic customers, preferred. Previous P&L Management experience. Strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen. Extensive understanding of the Southern European market landscapes, including competitive information, key trends, opportunities, and threats. Strong organizational and proven leadership abilities. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams within a matrix organization. Strong internal and external customer relationship-building and negotiation skills. Extensive people management experience with the ability to motivate and lead through a change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinates. Fluency in English.
