Description Johnstone Supply – The Heartland Group is looking for a Regional Distribution Center Manager who will manage store operations to meet goals and objectives for store sales, profitability, and customer experience in the local market. This person will be responsible for managing the Counter Sales & Service Associates and Warehouse staff. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily activities including receiving, stocking, and shipping while managing budgets and maintaining facility standards. Recruit, train, schedule, and lead warehouse personnel, setting clear goals and fostering a safe, productive environment. Maintain workplace safety by enforcing all regulations, coaching employees, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and certification. Leverage data and analytics tools like WMS and ERP to identify issues and implement improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost control. Manage store inventory accurately and securely, ensuring cycle counting programs are followed. Oversee warehouse and delivery operations to guarantee timely and accurate order fulfillment. Lead team performance by setting expectations, providing feedback, and conducting regular reviews and one-on-one meetings. Participate in hiring and training to build a knowledgeable, skilled workforce ready to meet business demands. Work closely with management to monitor sales, budgets, and operational costs, taking action to meet profitability goals. Deliver exceptional customer service by managing sales transactions, supporting sales programs, and resolving issues professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility that reflects our commitment to excellence. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws while keeping accurate records and documentation. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in warehouse or operations management with strong leadership skills. Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, Fire, MSDS) and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Comfort with data-driven decision-making and experience using warehouse management systems or ERP software. Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both with team members and customers. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. Basic financial acumen to manage budgets, costs, and inventory control. Requirements Qualifications: Education and Experience: Required: High School Diploma / GED required OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years management experience in warehouse/delivery operations. Preferred: College degree in a relevant field (e.g., business). Direct experience in HVACR or similar industry.
