This team brings extensive skills and experiences to field service engineering. Active participation in recognized technical societies such as NFPA and IEEE and collaboration with a variety of utilities and industries ensures that our technicians are knowledgeable about today's cutting-edge technology and engineering techniques. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities. The Power Distribution Systems organization offers career opportunities at a variety of levels representing increased scope and responsibility within the organization. The Regional EHS Manager acts as a leader for the safety function and will provide safety guidance and direction for EESS field-based personnel within a specific region. This position reports directly to the EESS division EHS Director and functionally to the Operations Regional Director of their respective region. The position is a critical function across EESS to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects and environmental, health, and safety. Lead the uniform adherence to electrical product installation, start up and commissioning methods, providing coaching and direct assistance to resolve technical challenges and application issues Lead with incident management aspects, including but not limited to: reporting, investigation, and corrective/preventive actions Assist with identifying safety risks areas and developing short term and long-term strategies to address them Coordinate/Perform Annual Employee required safety training and additional training to meet local leaderships specific safety needs Consult with leaders to assist with identifying and developing local safety initiatives. On a minimum of a monthly basis, analyze lagging and leading metrics, and develop/implement strategies for regional improvement. On a minimum of a quarterly basis, plan, lead, and organize a regional safety operating review. Develop division safety and health programs for deployment to a distributed/remote workforce Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer safety requirements Partner with training department to review and assist with the development of division training Develop division safety programs for deployment to a distributive/remote workforce including but not limited to new PPE requirements, corporate policies, regulations and programs/processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion Integrate Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) within the region, and become HOP SME. Lead safety meetings as needed. Support regional leadership and employees in maintaining and driving a culture of continuous improvement for safety Perform safety assessments and audits to ensure compliance with safety management system and programmatic requirements. Serve as a resource to the operations by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics. Partner with other Regional Safety Managers to maintain consistency across each region. Must be willing and able to travel by air as needed for client meetings, training, or events Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical field AND/OR EHS in industrial or electrical industry. No relocation is being offered for this position. Candidate must reside within a 50 mile radius of an airport in the northeastern region of the United States to be considered. Active duty military candidates are exempt from this requirement. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time Must be able to maintain an active and valid drivers license Bachelor's in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Sciences, engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology), or related field. 10+ years of experience in electrical field AND/OR EHS in industrial or electrical industry. Electrical and Arc Flash Safety Familiar with Federal and State regulations (NFPA, OSHA, CSA).
