We’re looking for a skilled and strategic Regional Environment Advisor to lead environmental planning and conservation across our North Region—from the Cairngorms to the Isle of Skye and the Flow Country.
In this leadership role, you’ll guide a regional environment team, provide expert advice on sustainable land management, and drive key projects such as peatland restoration, native woodland expansion, and habitat creation. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver national priorities on climate and biodiversity, while ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Scotland’s landscapes while working in some of its most iconic and ecologically rich areas. Training and mentoring will be provided to support your success in the role.
About you - To succeed, you’ll bring leadership experience, strong knowledge of UK protected habitats and species, and a background in land management and conservation. You’ll be confident advising on mitigation, building partnerships, and managing environmental programmes. GIS skills and a relevant degree are essential, and experience in species surveys, habitat planning, or partnership projects is highly desirable.
