Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Regional Facilities Manager, for one of our key clients. The candidate must have over eight (8) years of experience managing facility operations and maintenance across complex environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trades, particularly in Electrical and/or Plumbing, and will ideally hold a valid Gas Fitter certification. ONSITE IN IQALUIT, NUNAVUT.

Candidate MUST have the following experience:

• Advising in the development and revision of the client and departmental policies, standards, systems and procedures to govern facility management;
• Planning and managing the program for all client buildings, works and equipment in accordance with the facility guide to ensure efficient and effective delivery;
• Providing professional facilities management advice, consistent with governing authorities, to senior managers to ensure informed decision-making;
• Contributing to the on-going development of facility management practices in accordance with professional standards and governing authorities;
• Developing and administering budgets to ensure adequate funds are available to keep property in a good state of repair;
• Managing maintenance agreements;
• Ensuring that buildings included in the program within the allocated budget are operated and maintained in an efficient and effective manner
• Performing leadership and management functions;
• Ensuring that all program activities are recorded in accordance with associated legislation, procedures, guidelines and best practices;
• Developing and administering O&M contracts;
• Providing advice and input on facility management issues for new capital projects to ensure that the full scope and impact of the project is reflected in the business case;
• Planning and participating in actions to inform and educate others (Clients, consultants, community groups and agencies) with respect to the facility program; and
• Assuming the role of a project manager when required (in the event of an incident or emergency), mitigating damages, taking charge, and ensuring the safety of personnel.
