Position Description: Director of Sales Operations & Application Engineering Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role combines responsibility for Application Engineering and Sales Operations. The Director manages Application Engineers, a Data Analyst, and Customer Sales Support staff to deliver sales process excellence. This is a management role focused on executing strategies defined by senior leadership, with a strong emphasis on operational delivery, sales operations toolkit mastery, and AI-enabled process improvement. Primary Duties: Bid and Proposal Management: Lead the team to deliver competitive, timely proposals. Pricing Governance: Ensure compliance with pricing strategy, manage DOA approvals, and track profitability KPIs. CRM & CPQ Implementation: Drive the business case, specification, and design of a new CRM and CPQ system; oversee implementation and optimization. Process & KPI Management: Execute pipeline management, account planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Customer Feedback to Product Management: Provide structured customer input to inform product strategy. Experience & Skills: Experience: 10+ years in sales operations and/or sales or account management Mission Critical Power experience preferred. Leadership Experience: 5+ years managing multi-functional teams. Sales Ops Toolkit Mastery: CRM, CPQ, analytics, KPI tracking, pricing governance, and process optimization. Execution-Focused Management: Strong operational delivery skills aligned to leadership-defined strategies. Customer Focus: Ability to maintain and grow customer relationships. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and drive process improvements. Understands how data can be collected, structured and processed and analysed to generate business insights for GTM and financial impact. Communication: Clear and effective communication across technical and nontechnical audiences. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; MBA preferred.
