sennder is seeking a proactive and innovative Regional GL Accounting Manager to lead the General Ledger Accounting function for our Central Region, which includes Germany, Spain and the UK. Reporting to the Director of GL Accounting, you will play a key role in the transformation and centralization of our finance operations at the group level.
You will lead a dedicated team, drive accounting consistency, and collaborate closely with other global finance workstreams such as FP&A, AP/AR, Treasury and Tax, while also being responsible for ensuring local tax compliance across the region in coordination with internal teams and external advisors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee GL Accounting operations for the Central Region, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant month-end and year-end closings
  • Mentor and develop a team of GL accountants, fostering a culture of performance, clarity and collaboration
  • Contribute to the centralization and harmonization of accounting processes within the group’s transformation roadmap
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for the Central Region, coordinating activities across relevant finance workstreams
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs (German, Spanish and UK), as well as adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Supervise journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, intercompany transactions, and provide audit support
  • Identify and implement process enhancements, focusing on standardization, documentation and automation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across regions to ensure aligned and efficient accounting operations
