POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional H&S Coordinator is responsible for the support in implementation, communication and auditing of Health, Safety & Environmental programs at Environmental 360 Solutions Ltd locations. The incumbent will support all the management at all locations, including ensuring regulatory compliance, implementation of best practices, conducting audits of all our facilities, and making recommendations for improvements. In this role, the coordinator will work with all parts of the organization to ensure focus on hazard identification, assessment and controls, training, safe-work behaviors and reporting are in place to ensure a safe culture for all its people.
Location: Southern Ontario, covering all of Ontario.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of demonstrable experience in a Health and Safety (H&S) role, with a primary focus on H&S responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel to different locations within Ontario.
- Extensive experience in managing Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) or Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims for over 3 years, including adjudication and appeals processes.
- Internal Auditor Certified or Accredited.
- Specialized knowledge in areas including lockout/tagout procedures, machinery guarding, confined space entry, and fall prevention.
- Proficiency in equipment safety protocols, including lifts and hoists operations.
- Proven track record in system safety implementation and practical experience in loss control leadership.
- Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis to identify and address safety issues effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in promoting and maintaining a culture of safety within an organization.
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs, as well as possessing train-the-trainer capabilities.
- Familiarity with environmental management principles and practices.
- Ability to assess and mitigate a range of workplace hazards effectively.
