Carry out and support hazard identification, risk assessments and site inspections, with a focus on high‑risk areas such as machinery safety, LOTO, traffic management, chemical handling and working at heights. Help maintain compliance by keeping up‑to‑date with NZ H&S legislation and supporting assurance activities such as audits, machine safety reviews and follow‑up actions. Coordinate and support incident management, including notifiable events and high‑risk incidents, ensuring timely reporting, investigation support and corrective actions. Assist with the delivery of HSE training and engagement activities, including HSE representative development and capability‑building sessions. Maintain and support regional HSE procedures, ensuring they align with Group standards and are easy for site teams to apply. Provide on‑site support for complex HSE issues, helping site leaders and advisors identify solutions and strengthen critical risk management. Prepare and present HSE performance insights for NZ SLT and Divisional leadership, ensuring clear, practical information that supports decision‑making. Your skills and experience: Proven senior HSE leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments Postgraduate qualifications in HSE or Risk Management (advantageous) Professional membership with a recognised industry body (e.g., NZISM) - preferred Strong knowledge of relevant WHS and environmental legislation Demonstrated leadership capability and experience of driving change in complex environments Highly developed communication, negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills Strong capability in incident investigation, risk assessment and data analysis Experience working with HSE management systems, such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Proven ability to influence culture positively and lead continuous improvement initiatives Additional Information This is a site‑based role, and regular on‑site presence is essential.
