Regional HR Director - APAC Weir Minerals Australia Lead the people agenda across a complex, multi‑country region. We’re seeking an outcomes‑driven Regional HR Director to partner with our APAC business, shape organisation design, and lift performance through data‑led, cost‑effective solutions. This is a strategic business partnering role, requiring the incumbent to be strategically orientated and prioritising future business deliverables with an enterprise mindset. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution—partnering closely with regional leaders to simplify structures, accelerate decisions, and turn data into action. Design the organisation: Lead organisation design, workforce planning, and change initiatives that simplify ways of working and improve productivity. Operate lean: Build scalable, cost‑effective HR processes and governance that work across the diverse APAC market. Coach leaders: Work confidently with the leadership team across cultures; influence decisions and raise the bar on leadership capability. Use data & AI: Leverage HR analytics (and emerging AI tools) to diagnose issues, forecast outcomes, and guide decisions. Inspire your team: Set direction, build bench strength, and create a high‑trust, high‑performance HR function. Regular travel throughout the region will be required. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: 15+ years in progressive HR roles, including 6–8 years of global/region‑wide SLT interaction across different cultures. Proven organisation design and transformation track record in a lean, cost‑conscious environment. Strong consulting etiquette: structured thinking, crisp storytelling, and the courage to push back constructively. Tech‑savvy with HRIS/analytics (e.g., Workday/Power BI) and comfort experimenting with AI to improve decisions and experience. Broad APAC employment landscape awareness; able to navigate policy, compliance and ER across multiple jurisdictions. A motivating people leader who builds clarity, capability, and accountability.
