SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory operations within Wholesale. This role ensures that inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and optimizing inventory turnover. The Inventory Manager will work closely with Branch Managers, buyers, suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure efficient inventory management and accurate record-keeping.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of inventory and electrical distribution experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Certification in inventory management or supply chain management (e.g. APICS, CPIM) preferred
  • High School Diploma required
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems and practices to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Maintain P21 System Settings as it relates to Inventory Replenishments.
  • Answer technical system questions by branch and other leadership.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast future inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly.
  • Train buyers on inventory management procedures and best practices.
  • Generate and maintain detailed inventory reports for management review.
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate inventory management with overall company operations.
  • Build Relationships with key suppliers to support profitable growth.
