LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

  • You have the ability to provide overall direction, leadership and guidance to staff across multi-disciplinary teams with diverse perspectives.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • You have knowledge and understanding of public land management techniques including Crown land title administration, land appraisal, Crown land surveys and delegation of authority.

ORGANIZATIONAL AND PLANNING SKILLS:

  • You possess planning and regional coordination skills to develop, implement and monitor operational procedures and work program planning and reporting requirements relevant to public land management.
  • You have project management, organizational and team leadership skills to implement policy and program initiatives within tight timelines and lead diverse task teams, or assigned staff and to coordinate public meetings or public workshops.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • You possess communication skills to provide advice and recommendations to senior management, partners and a diverse demographic of stakeholders .
  • You possess interpersonal and presentation skills to prepare and make accessible presentations .
  • You have written communication skills to create presentations, draft briefing notes, correspondence and reports.
  • You possess proven facilitation , negotiation, resolution, issue management, and problem solving skills including strategic thinking.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING SKILLS:

  • You possess relationship building skills to foster and maintain relationships as the primary liaise between various reporting structures that may have competing priorities.
  • You possess consultation and advisory skills to provide responsive, accurate and precise advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have tact, diplomacy and good judgement skills to deal with contentious issues and situations.
