Description
We are looking for Regional Logistics Manager-E.MedE.Eur a that will Operate and plan efficiently and optimally the stocks and logistics expenses in the countries of the region. Major areas of responsibility Logistics Manage equipment stock in the region Make sure the available stocks in the region can support the commercial activity Keep lean stocks levels in the different countries to meet target stocks set by Global Logistics Build the regions logistics policies based on global needs in the following main disciplines: MNR, stock management, scale in-out of stocks and Land Transportation Costs Control Optimize equipment repositioning and evacuations to keep timely and cost effective supply Provide professional input, assumptions and recommendations regarding countries in the region when building the annual budget. Conduct and monitor a saving plan to reduce logistics costs. Procurement Manage logistics service providers in the region – depots, trucks, rails Work together with Regional Procurement to negotiate service agreements with ZIM’s vendors and ensure flawless service operation. Requirements Bachelor's degree – must; Degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics or Business Management – Advantage 5 years’ experience in the shipping industry. Previous experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management – strong advantage Previous managerial experience – strong advantage Proficiency of office tools, Excel (Macros level) and PowerPoint in particular Fluent in English (Speaking, reading and writing)
