Role Summary :
As a member of the Global Logistics Team, the Logistics Analyst oversees and supports the commercial elements of the Global Logistics category. Responsible for the deployment and execution of site-specific logistics strategies, as well as maintaining an effective working relationship with key logistics providers to maximize Flowserve’s logistics capabilities and permanently enhance our customers’ order-to-delivery experience. The responsibilities include the onboarding of the logistics providers after participating in sourcing events, including the organization and execution of logistics services consultations. In his/her role, the Logistics Analyst will identify productivity enhancements that contribute to increased operational and financial performance and service improvements. An important part of the job for the Logistics Analyst is regular data analysis on large data sets to assess the performance of the logistics system across the regions.

Responsibilities & Requirements :

  • Implement processes and procedures in accordance with the global logistics vision and strategy to achieve the desired performance level.
  • Act as a project manager during the onboarding of a new logistics vendor.
  • Assess regularly and communicate effectively the operational and performances of the logistics providers / sites (such as variance analysis, root-cause / counter measures analysis, performance to revenue, service levels).
  • Prepare and facilitate the monthly / quarterly business reviews for the logistics providers showcasing spend, volume, KPIs and Statement of Account savings, lost opportunity spends and updates on sites performance.
  • Provide oversight of all transportation services and modes both international and domestic to assist the sites in achieving logistics expectations using the Logistics Data Repository and ERPs.
  • Participate and support the sourcing activities from needs analysis to providers’ onboarding (Data collection, RFQ preparation, RFQ analysis, selection, implementation.)
  • Lead the open actions and follow up until the resolution with the Freight Pay and Audit partner company.
  • Lead the open actions and follow up until the resolution with our Business Support Center BSC and Singapore Decision Center (SDC).
  • Work with site logistics teams to reduce lost opportunity spend through usage of Flowserve’s Authorized Approved Vendor List (AVL).
  • Conduct training as needed on all logistics requirements: project management, process improvement, negotiation, sourcing, metrics reporting, incoterms, “lost profit” and performance to revenue.
  • Ensure continuous improvement against the logistics key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure savings are managed and reported accurately and timely & deliver on the annual cost reduction goals.
  • Manage the escalation process to resolve logistics issues that affect site performances.
  • Demonstrate an enterprise mindset approach, contributing effort and ideas for the global supply chain team and support the global supply chain maturity growth.
  • Ensure adherence to global logistics policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills :

  • Ability to understand and utilize analytical applications and tools such as Power BI / Tableau
  • Project management and implementation skills
  • Establish credibility and ensure effective efficient logistics solutions
  • Demonstration of creating strong cross functional relationships
  • Ability to analyze and create concise critical data reports
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with ERP applications such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba (preferable)
  • Degree or equivalent work experience with 3 - 4 years in similar logistics experiences
