Job Title: Regional Maintenance Person
Location: Surrey (Haslemere, Hindhead,Guildford, Wormley)
Job Type: Full-Time
Rate of Pay: £15 per hour plus business mileage.
Full-time hours with flexibility required to cover occasional weekend or evening emergencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Regional Maintenance Person to support five care homes in the Surrey area (Haslemere, Hindhead,Guildford, Wormley).
This role is Full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility needed to assist during emergencies on weekends or evenings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Must be a driver with your own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to handle emergency situations outside of normal working hours (weekends/evenings).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across different locations and work independently.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs across multiple care homes.
  • Address urgent maintenance needs and respond to emergency situations as required.
  • Ensure that all facilities are safe and in good working order.
  • Collaborate with care home managers to prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Check maintenance book each day on arrival and carry out urgent jobs immediately.
  • To undertake repairs if within your competency otherwise arrange for these through the Company’s Estate Manager
  • Report accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses, hazards and risks to your manager/person-in-charge whose responsibility it is to act upon such information to reduce the risk of accidents/incidents.
  • To ensure adherence to Health and Safety guidelines and maintain safe environments and working practices.
