MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years sales management experience in the medical device industry, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated record of success or achievement in sales positions.
  • Ability to structure sales goals and revenue expectations.
  • Demonstrated charisma as well as leadership style to motivate teams in a field sales organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Practical business understanding to help define the appropriate sales model to deliver results with high emphasis on analytics, having demonstrated strong business acumen and professionalism.
  • Track record of success in identifying and implementing “Best In Class” management processes as it relates to the development of sales organization
  • Experience at strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word and Outlook and familiarity with CRM tools.
  • May work extended hours during peak business cycles
  • The position requires travel of approximately 50% or more
    Sales salary range: Total Compensation= $275,290 - 290,290 (base + at plan target incentive) depending on experience and location

Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate a vision for the region and build consensus for operating goals that are in alignment with the division.
  • Recruit, coach and develop organizational talent.

  • Lead the team and provide coaching on sales strategies and evaluating opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  • Create immediate to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management.
  • Ensure team is accountable for correlating data such as sales process, project and short cycle pipeline data, lead management, and accurate maintenance of CRM and Travel and Expense systems.
  • Assist with contract negotiations with external customers and keep the team informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.
  • Investigate and solve problems that affect work processes and personnel within or across units or departments.
  • Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, marketing team, service team, human resources, cross divisional directors, outside regulatory agencies, customers (key IDN’s), vendors and/or suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounts to assist in growing their product lines in Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN).
  • Analyze and report on forecasts for order intake and revenue.
  • Forecast future departmental needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures. Recommend or modify the structure of organizational units or a centralized functional activity subject to senior management approval.
  • Make decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve the program objectives established by senior management.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
