Description

Job Title: Regional Manager
Location: Based in Southeast Georgia - cities like Augusta, Macon, and Savanna are ideal. This is a primarily remote position with regular travel throughout the region required.
Reporting To: Director of Electrical Services

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Manager will be the business unit leader for CSS’ operations and maintenance of solar facilities in Georgia and parts of South Carolina. The manager is responsible for the safe and timely completion of all service obligations within the relevant portfolio. The position will be based in southeast Georgia.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to create and support team morale
  • Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E and B
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of experience in utility solar PV
  • 3 years of service or project-oriented management experience

Responsibilities
  • Be a leader, mentor, and technical expert for a group of 6-10 field technicians and ensure CSS’ values and culture of safety and quality customer service are adopted by all. Provide routine meaningful feedback to direct reports in a one-on-one setting
  • Ensure CSS’ values, culture of safety, and quality customer service are adopted by all
  • Oversee and manage all service obligations with on-time deliverables and excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate emergency response and ensure 365-day coverage for emergency response guarantee and participate in a monthly on-call rotation
  • Conduct and document regular training, skills verification, QA/QC of field team’s minimum of once per month
  • Create, schedule, assign, review, and approve work orders daily for all sites and equipment within the region.
  • Plan annual preventative maintenance in preceding year; including electrical and vegetation maintenance
  • Prepare field technicians for daily tasks, ensuring they have proper tools, materials, training, skills, and direction to safely perform work tasks
  • Remotely guide field technicians in troubleshooting and repair work as needed
  • Be available to take technician phone calls 7 days a week, except during PTO
  • Direct and dispatch subcontractors as necessary
  • Manage company tools and resources and adhere to business unit budget

    and company KPIs

  • Lead field technician hiring process and resource allocation

  • Administer and review skills assessment for current employees and potential hires
  • Order and manage parts and equipment via company inventory procedures. Coordinate RMA processes with Account Management and Operations.
  • Provide prompt email acknowledgement and follow-up
  • Review and approve personnel hours weekly
  • Maintain technical expertisein solar O&M best practices, tools, techniques, and implementation of new practices
