• Promoting and selling ISSLP products and services to existing and prospective customers in Manitoba.

· Coordinate manpower with the Logistics Manager and National Construction Council, signatory to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC).

• Monitor and manage the hiring, training, succession planning of ISSLP workers
• Ensures all internal ISSLP processes and/or Client Business Processes are communicated and followed by the appropriate level of Supervision.
• Approve and submit any invoice/timesheets which have business unit expenditures to the appropriate project weekly and ensure site supervisors paperwork is adequate and sent in.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory or manager role.
• Business Acumen required
• Journeyman Scaffold ticket required
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g. MS Office including Excel and Word)
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external.
• Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities
• Self-starting, team player willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director of Operations Central BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba the Operations Manager of Saskatchewan will provide overall leadership and oversight of the organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services of the scaffolding discipline and the execution of scaffolding services, safety, quality, subcontractor performance and construction cost. Has budgetary accountabilities or direct impacts upon revenue center’s viability or its quality of service via personal contributions. Contributes directly to value creation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promoting and selling ISSLP products and services to existing and prospective customers in Western Canada.

· Coordinate manpower with the Logistics Manager and National Construction Council, signatory to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC).

• Assists ISSLP by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of design and procurement deliverables and establishing common work breakdown structures.
• Provides technical expertise to evaluate scaffolding service execution for compliance to contract, safety, design data, schedule/cost budgets and quality.
• Coach and mentor the ISSLP on all divisional projects and the facility to safe work practices, quality workmanship, productivity, cost and schedule. Coordinate supervision of multiple sites and mediate any concerns within ISSLP.
• Promote and adhere to ISSLP’s Safety Management System.
• Monitor and manage the hiring, training, succession planning of ISSLP workers.
• Ensures all internal ISSLP processes and/or Client Business Processes are communicated and followed by the appropriate level of Supervision.
• Will be required to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffold as needed at site in order to maintain an efficient operation region. Will be required to manage and execute loading and offloading of trucks in laydown yard.
• Collaborate with the Site Supervisors on contracting strategy and scope of work definitions.
• Evaluate and provide insight to the identification and mitigation of constructability and planning issues. Is responsible to ensure that the constructability review effectively identifies issues, which will negatively impact safety and productivity and has the required changes made to the design.
• Ensure corrective actions are put in place to address discrepancies.
• Provide weekly status reporting to the Director of Operations Central BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
• Provide Interface with the client on a daily basis while on site.
• Provide periodic updates to the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
• Approve and submit any invoice/timesheets which have business unit expenditures to the appropriate project.
• Complete and submit any monthly summaries to the appropriate departments. (e.g. EH&S summaries, expense reports, etc.)
• Approve purchase requisitions as required for the project.
• Monitors the implementation of safety orientations, safety indoctrination’s, safety meetings and provides coaching for safety improvements.
• Monitors crews and subcontractor organizational structure, sizing, crew mix ratios and compliance matters.
• Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budgets for installation process and develops staff, facilities, equipment and tool requirement plan.
• Provides highly specialized skills, knowledge or techniques requiring problem recognition, solution development and action step formulation within structured and/or defined judgment parameters as defined by the job.
• Inherent ability to perform a diverse element of tasks that are process related.
• Organizes, prioritizes and utilizes supervisory and management skills for the direction of direct reports, including supervisory and subcontract structures.
