Title: Regional Manager, Quality and Cultural Safety & Humility
Salary: $99,899 - $117,528 - $135,158 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Fraser Salish Region, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Stó:lo¯ Nations – Hybrid

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A university degree in Public Health, Political or Social Science, Health or Public Administration, First Nations Governance, Leadership or other related fields of study.
  • Training and relevant certifications in cultural safety and humility and/or equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A Master’s Degree and existing relationships in the healthcare system, MOH, and other organizations are assets.

EXPERIENCE

  • 6-8 years of experience in senior policy, strategy, or management.
  • Min. 5 years of recent and relevant leadership experience in healthcare services, including client experience, feedback management, and incident review.
  • Min. 3 years of recent and relevant experience in quality improvement, development, implementation, and evaluation in a health system.
  • Experience in developing frameworks, strategies, methodologies and communication tools.
  • Min. 3 years of recent and relevant experience working with Indigenous communities and leadership is an asset.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Familiarity with the Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (BC), the Recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the “In Plain Sight” report, the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, and the impacts of these on health, healthcare and healthcare design for Indigenous people.
  • Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to First Nations in Canada.

Responsibilities

As Regional Manager, Quality and Cultural Safety & Humility (CS&H), you will play a key leadership role in advancing culturally safe, anti-racist, and high-quality care across the region. You will oversee all CS&H initiatives, including the Feedback & Accountability Project, ensuring services are responsive to the needs and values of Indigenous communities. You will also be collaborating with the Indigenous Health Collaborative Council and its sub-committees to drive meaningful, community-informed improvements in care.
