We are hiring a Regional Manager to lead the hospitality & restaurant teams at our Eastern wineries and Riverbend Inn. This leadership role will be responsible for direct management of Executive Chefs, Restaurant Managers, Supervisors, Boutique Inn General Manager and property maintenance teams and ensure the teams are fully engaged and aligned to the business plan goals and priorities in their trade channels. The Regional Manager will develop, implement, and execute strategic business plans, for their assigned trade channels, ensuring alignment with corporate and divisional strategies that meet/exceed annual financial objectives. In addition, this role is responsible for initiating and executing innovative ideas to create exceptional hospitality, attract guests to the properties and drive revenue.

Responsibilities
  • Development, implementation and execution of strategic objectives and operational goals for assigned trade channels, ensuring alignment with divisional and Company strategic plans
  • Initiate and execute innovative ideas, by engaging and leading teams, that will drive business, create exceptional experiences and attract guests to the properties
  • Leading the development and execution of annual operating and financial plans, including revenues, expense and capital budgets for each property
  • Hiring, coaching and developing direct reports; ensuring staff communication is a priority using various mediums of communication
  • Building and promoting a strong business environment for tourism, including working with external collective winery and hospitality groups and municipal/regional authorities to create an environment that is optimal for winery hospitality success.
  • Leads trade channel managers to develop and implement standards of service throughout the operation.
  • Developing and promoting a high level of customer care and hospitality excellence
  • Collaborates with Marketing to support PR, marketing and campaign initiatives
  • Identifying and planning for short and long-term property development opportunities; project lead on hospitality and hotel renovations/developments
  • Develops visitor experiences that meet financial, educational and brand building objectives
  • Assumes responsibility for ad-hoc cross functional or cross-region initiatives to analyse issues/opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Responsible for accounting control, interpreting monthly P&L statements; and analysis of hospitality and wine industry trends
  • Responsible for annual wine volume planning in conjunction with Estate Analyst.
  • Where applicable, activate special events and develop private event business
  • Attends company and industry meetings on behalf of the winery and ensures all relevant information is communicated and acted upon
  • Works with the Maintenance and Winemaking teams to ensure buildings and facilities are well maintained; where required, manages contracts with landscaping company, janitorial, snow removal; current and future management of homes on the property for potential vacation rental; future member of on-site team to lead capital projects.
  • Ensures the workplace is well maintained and safe at all times and buildings are secure at the end of each day;
  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment through the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and joint H&S committee and the Respect in the Workplace Policy
  • Ensures the safety of employees through compliance with EH&S regulations and a strong focus on ensuring a positive, supportive and professional workplace
