This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide leadership for the implementation of improvement projects, plans, technics, tools and quality standards across sites.
  • Coordinate and lead the creation of related policies for plants in alignment with manufacturing technology governance.
  • Support the application of work processes as designed within the specific manufacturing technology domain.
  • Provide manufacturing technology expertise to plants, partnering with local teams and subject matter experts to identify and resolve root causes to emerging issues.
  • Act as a resource for plants on current safety standards and enhance the future safety of our facilities.
  • Lead the deployment of risk management practices and safeguards within a specific manufacturing technology, understanding safety, process safety, food safety, regulatory and environmental standards, policies and codes.
  • Identify opportunities and gaps in required levels of specific manufacturing technology knowledge, expertise and experiences and provide coaching to talent.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience,
  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fundamental understanding of industry leading practices in process safety management
  • Experience working in engineering, technical operations, project management or process safety management
