Role Summary: Lead business development efforts for NXP’s automotive portfolio into emerging sectors, including robotics, drones, humanoids, industrial automation, battery management systems, and aerospace throughout Europe. Drive market intelligence and customer engagement strategies to position NXP’s automotive portfolio as a leader in enabling software-defined solutions into the above-mentioned adjacent markets for the Distribution customer base across EMEA. Partner closely with NXP sales, applications, and business line teams to identify new opportunities, influence system architectures, and actively support design-in activities with strategic customers in key growth verticals. Responsible for EMEA Distribution funnel creation, design-win and POS generation for the assigned domains. Job Responsibility: Develop strong understanding of NXP core technologies including edge processing, networking, connectivity, and software platforms supporting embedded and real-time systems in the emerging sectors of the transportation adjacent markets. Build a strategic narrative that enables NXP to address customer challenges in robotics, industrial automation, and autonomous machines using NXP compute platforms and analog solutions. Collaborate closely with NXP sales, application, central teams, marketing communications, and regional marketing teams to align strategies, develop customer engagement initiatives, and drive coordinated efforts to expand NXP’s presence in adjacent markets across Europe. Serve as the vertical market expert in customer engagements, supporting architecture discussions and positioning NXP solutions in early design stages as well as driving the design-win and the business materialization. Create unique insights about adjacent markets including robotics, drones, and autonomous industrial systems across Europe, identifying opportunities for NXP platforms. Provide structured feedback from customers and ecosystem partners to NXP business lines to influence future product and solution roadmaps. Support industry events, ecosystem partnerships, and customer workshops to increase NXP visibility and engagement in robotics and automation markets. Job Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 5+ years experience in the high technology industry, preferably within semiconductors, embedded systems, or industrial/robotics markets. Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and edge processing platforms. Experience engaging with customers in robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, or similar adjacent markets is highly desirable. Familiarity with real-time embedded systems, networking technologies, and industrial communication protocols is beneficial. Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262 or IEC 61508) is a plus but not required. Demonstrates strong analytical and strategic thinking to identify emerging opportunities and translate market insights into actionable strategies. Proven ability to work across internal teams including sales, marketing, and engineering organizations. Strong business development and customer engagement skills. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proficiency in additional languages—such as German, French, Italian, or Spanish—is a plus. Demonstrates high learning agility and the ability to quickly understand new market segments and technologies. Highly self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced technology environment. Ability to build strong relationships with internal business lines and external ecosystem partners. Willingness to travel across Europe as required (approximately 35–45%).
