ABOUT US

Established in 1840, we are Australia’s first wellbeing company, delivering health, wealth and care services for our members and the community.
As a social enterprise, we’re motivated by our purpose to positively impact the wellbeing of millions. We reinvest profits to deliver products and services sustainably that matter most to our members, customers and the Australian community.
For us, Real Wellbeing encompasses the whole experience of life. It’s about feeling supported in your health, connected with your community and empowered to live life on your terms.

Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE LOOKS LIKE THIS:

At Australian Unity, we’re proud to support the wellbeing of thousands of older Australians by delivering vibrant, safe, and connected retirement living options. As our new Regional Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of 9–12 retirement communities, working closely with our Retirement Community Managers to deliver outstanding service, strong commercial outcomes, and continuous improvement across the region.
This is a leadership role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on support. You’ll champion our values, ensure our communities thrive, and support our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, every day.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide leadership across your region, guiding and supporting Retirement Community Managers to deliver high-quality, customer-focused operations.
  • Drive growth by supporting occupancy management, introducing new service offerings, and promoting local community engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable business outcomes aligned with Australian Unity’s strategic goals.
  • Champion operational excellence—ensuring services, staffing and facilities exceed compliance standards and are delivered within budget.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, continuous improvement, innovation, and employee engagement.
  • Identify and resolve service issues promptly, using customer and stakeholder feedback to drive improvements.
  • Lead the integration of new communities and support the launch of new developments, products, and services.
  • Monitor performance and coach community leaders on commercial acumen, budget management, and business planning.
  • Ensure safety, risk, and regulatory compliance across all sites, embedding quality systems and audit processes.
  • Oversee property strategies and capital management planning to support long-term community sustainability and appeal.
