Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Operations Manager to oversee last-mile courier operations across multiple markets within a designated region. This role is responsible for leading field operations, managing performance of delivery partners and market teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and driving service excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of last-mile logistics, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role will collaborate closely with corporate leadership, dispatch, compliance, and customer service teams to deliver best-in-class performance and customer satisfaction.
Location: Local to the Houston TX area (Virtual) must be able to travel to Hubs. Must be able to travel to HQ for week 1 training and as needed.
Pay Scale: $96K to $115K
Hours: 40 standard, however additional hours will be necessary based on customer needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field required.
· 5–7 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or last-mile delivery operations.
· 2–3 years in a multi-site or regional leadership role managing distributed teams.
· Proven track record of improving delivery performance, operational efficiency, and cost control.

· In-depth understanding of last-mile delivery models, route optimization, and courier/contractor management.

  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, FMCSA regulations and compliance best practices.
  • Experience working with independent contractors (ICs) and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
· High level of integrity, professionalism, and operational discipline.
· Proficient in data analysis, performance metrics, and operational reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
· Experience with logistics or delivery management systems (e.g., Onfleet, DispatchTrack, Bringg, OpenForce, TMS platforms).

SKILLS:

· Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop managers across markets.
· Proven ability to lead change, drive accountability, and align teams to business goals.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to influence and engage with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage customer escalations effectively.

Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day last-mile delivery operations across multiple markets within the assigned region, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
· Lead, mentor, and manage Hub managers, dispatch teams, and field supervisors to meet performance goals and service standards.
· Monitor delivery metrics (e.g., on-time performance, route efficiency, customer service levels) and implement strategies to improve operational outcomes.
· Manage relationships with independent contractors and third-party delivery partners to ensure contractual compliance, quality service, and driver retention.
· Analyze operational data to identify trends, reduce costs, improve routing, and optimize resource allocation.
· Ensure regional operations comply with federal, state, local, and customer-specific regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA, FMCSA).
· Partner with the compliance, HR and Sr. Operations to resolve contractor issues, manage audits, and mitigate risk.
· Support the launch of new delivery markets or expansion of existing ones, ensuring operational readiness, staffing, and infrastructure needs are met.
· Oversee training and onboarding processes to ensure consistency in delivery standards, safety, and policy adherence across the region.
· Develop and manage regional budgets, control operational costs, and report on P&L performance.
· Act as the escalation point for high-level operational or customer issues, resolving problems quickly and effectively.
· Conduct regular site visits to delivery hubs, warehouses, and customer locations to ensure operational integrity and team engagement.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance contractor experience, and exceed customer expectations.
· Report on regional performance metrics, key risks, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
