Description

JOB OVERVIEW | MULTI-CONCEPT HOSPITALITY GROUP | SAN DIEGO & ANAHEIM

We’re searching for a sharp, experienced Regional Operations Manager with a deep love for hospitality and wine culture. This role will oversee two dynamic tasting rooms and a full-service wine-driven restaurant, championing operational consistency, guest experience, and beverage program development across the board.
You’ll work closely with ownership to lead teams, elevate service standards, and grow both the business and the brand. This is a hands-on leadership position where strategy meets service—ideal for a strong operator who can mentor teams, manage performance, and create memorable guest connections rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship.

What You’ll Own

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple locations: 2 tasting rooms and 1 high-touch restaurant in Southern California
  • Guide and support on-site GMs and leads, mentoring them on service quality, team culture, cost control, and guest experience
  • Uphold a consistent hospitality style and service structure, ensuring all teams deliver elevated, brand-aligned experiences
  • Lead wine education and service training, strengthening wine knowledge across teams and inspiring confident, story-driven selling
  • Build and grow wine club engagement by reinforcing service excellence and personalized guest connection
  • Monitor labor efficiency, scheduling, and staff productivity across locations
  • Oversee inventory controls for wine, food, and supplies; ensure proper tracking and cost accountability
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development for managers and frontline staff
  • Collaborate with ownership and culinary/beverage leads on programming, features, and events
  • Conduct routine audits (service, financial, operations) and report actionable insights regularly
  • Provide structured updates to ownership, including:
  • Weekly operational recaps
  • Monthly KPIs (labor, COGS, wine club growth, sales)
  • Quarterly strategic action plans
  • Maintain a visible, supportive presence on the floor—especially during high-volume shifts

Hospitality & Wine Leadership

We’re looking for a leader who understands how great hospitality and great wine come together. Someone who can create an environment that’s welcoming, refined, and sincere—where every pour tells a story.

  • Shape and uphold a guest experience philosophy built on craftsmanship, authenticity, and personal connection
  • Keep service intentional and elevated—no gimmicks, no hard sells
  • Mentor teams to deepen their wine fluency, from vineyard sourcing to winemaking styles
  • Serve as a brand ambassador across all locations—calm, confident, knowledgeable, and grounded in wine culture
  • Ensure the guest journey reflects our values at every touchpoint

Strategic Growth & Operational Focus

  • Drive revenue through smart scheduling, streamlined systems, and leadership alignment
  • Interpret and act on financial reporting, budget planning, and margin optimization
  • Expand guest and community relationships through event strategy and thoughtful partnerships
  • Help grow our wine identity across channels and locations

Ideal Background

  • 3–5+ years overseeing multi-unit hospitality or tasting room operations
  • Strong wine knowledge—especially comfortable educating and developing others
  • Deep understanding of genuine hospitality, not just service mechanics
  • Experience mentoring management-level staff and building cross-location alignment
  • Proven ability to track performance metrics and meet financial targets
  • Strong communicator: verbal, written, and reporting
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and confident with systems and reporting
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel between San Diego and Anaheim
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and be active on the floor during service

Compensation & Perks

  • $95,000–$105,000 base salary (DOE)
  • Bonus structure based on performance
  • Travel reimbursement between locations
  • Paid time off + holiday pay
  • Health benefit contribution eligibility
  • Staff discounts on wine and dining
  • Complimentary wine club perks
  • Professional growth opportunities with a respected, mission-driven group

Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to help define and grow a boutique hospitality brand rooted in exceptional wine and genuine hospitality. If you’re passionate about service, serious about wine, and ready to lead with purpose—this is the role for you.
