OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Compliance Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and fully compliant payroll operations across our organization.
You’ll collaborate closely with both HR and Finance teams to uphold the highest standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Payroll or HR certification/degree preferred (e.g., FPC, CPP, SHRM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, compliance, or human resources.

EXPERIENCE IN LONG-TERM CARE PREFERRED.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and applicable labor laws.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with confidential data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and payroll software.
  • Must reside in the St. Louis, MO area.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct payroll and compliance audits to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Manage timekeeping systems, payroll reporting, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with system updates and improvements.
  • Support policy development, benefits administration, and payroll closing processes.
  • Provide training on compliance and represent payroll during facility acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Assist with regulatory readiness and other special projects as assigned.
