JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple processing plants within the region. The Regional Plant Manager provides leadership to plant managers and their teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements. This role requires relocation to Saskatchewan.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in manufacturing and processing industries.

Responsibilities
  1. Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including receiving, production, storing, and shipping of our products.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of employees, including operators, maintenance personnel, and other general labour staff.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Stay current with industry regulations, environmental standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Implement safety training programs and conduct regular safety meetings.
  1. Maintenance and Equipment:
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure we meet established quality standards.
  • Implement procedures for sampling, testing, and quality assurance.
  1. Customer Relations:
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth transactions and address any concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service to foster positive relationships and ensure repeat business.
  1. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory levels, and operational activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on production for senior management.
