Job Summary:
・This role plays a central role—distinct from sales—in building market presence through deep product understanding, application insight, and brand-driven solutions.
・The position involves not only driving growth in existing segments but also leading efforts in market creation, especially in emerging fields like decarbonization, infrastructure, and component industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Technical Leadership
・Develop deep expertise in all HIOKI’s product categories (Power Quality, Battery, FMI, etc.) and applications
・Analyze market needs, technology trends, and competitor offerings to identify gaps and opportunities
Provide structured feedback to HIOKI Headquarters on future product and technology requirements
・Formulate and lead product and market localization strategies
2. Application Development & Market Insight
・Lead technical research and strategy planning in growth sectors such as infrastructure, component industries, data centers, renewable energy, EVs, and factory automation
・Promote market creation aligned with decarbonization goals, identifying new opportunities and applications
・Understand customer needs, pain points, and ideal solutions to drive value-based proposals
・Build technical capability internally through structured training and frontline engagement
・Lead technical discussions and presentations during key customer visits and projects
3. Marketing Strategy & Execution
・Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies tailored to the region
・Manage product launches, digital campaigns, technical content creation, and trade events with directions from HQ Product & Marketing Department
・Create competitive mapping, analyze pricing strategies, and build market share strategies
・Promote HIOKI’s brand value and technological superiority in each product category
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management
・Collaborate with sales teams, distributors, and HIOKI HQ
・Build strong relationships with key accounts and partners
・Lead cross-functional projects involving product, marketing, and technical support teams
・Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to support regional expansion and decision-making
Requirements:
1. Education
・Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MUST HAVE)
2. Experience
・Minimum 15 years of experience in the electrical measurement, electronics, or instrumentation industry
・Strong technical background in electrical testing, signal analysis, or relevant domains
・Proven experience in product strategy, application marketing, and market development
・Preferably with sales experience in previous jobs
3. Skill
・Project leadership skills and ability to coordinate across departments and countries
4. Language and others
・Business-level English (MUST HAVE)
・Chinese and Japanese proficiency preferred
・Willingness to travel across the assigned region
